S.R. COUNTY CHILD ABUSE INVESTIGATION

The Northwest Florida Daily News is reporting the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a teacher for the alleged abuse of a 5-year-old special needs student in Navarre. Tiffany Hackbarth, the child’s mother, said the male teacher at West Navarre Intermediate kicked the boy in the ribs and hip on April 11th. Hackbarth said she is disappointed with how the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office and Santa Rosa County School District are handling the case. Sheriff’s Office spokesman Rich Aloy said the Department will not comment on the investigation because it is still open and active.
