An Escambia County couple has been arrested for exploiting a man who has dementia. 28-year-old Ryan Powell and 22-year-old Annjeanette Powell, are accused of exploiting the elderly man – the father of a friend and a resident of Life Care Center of Pensacola – by making more than $6,700 in fraudulent credit card charges. Ryan Powell is charged with possessing prescription drugs without a prescription, possessing marijuana and possessing ammunition. Annjeanette Powell was charged with exploitation of a disabled adult, grand theft, and credit card fraud. Both were booked into the Escambia County Jail and remain in custody.
