An Okaloosa County school bus driver has been arrested for dropping an 8-year-old disabled student off a mile from her house back in February and telling her to walk home. The mother of the student at Walker Elementary School said she had made arrangements with the school district for the child to be dropped off from the bus at her home on February 2nd. About 4 p.m. that afternoon she saw the child walking toward her house and she told her mother the driver made her get off a mile from her home. The mother filed a complaint and the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation. 44-year-old Anthony Campbell has now been charged with felony child neglect. He was released from the Okaloosa County Jail on a $3,000 bond.
