A 49-year-old man is dead after a standoff in Bay County with several law enforcement agencies. Around 9 a.m. yesterday the Walton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a homicide in Santa Rosa Beach. The victim, Clinton Street, was found dead of gunshot wounds. Kevin Holroyd was identified as a suspect and neighbors said he was the ex-husband of Street’s fiancé. Holroyd was located in an apartment in Panama City where he opened fire on deputies and police. Authorities used armored vehicles to breach the front of the apartment, but when a SWAT team entered they found Holroyd dead. He had poured gasoline throughout the apartment, but there was no fire and no law enforcement officers were injured. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has taken over the investigation, but they are not saying if Holroyd died from a self-inflicted wound.
