The Florida Highway Patrol is asking for help in identifying the driver of Chevrolet Tahoe SUV that struck and killed a man in a wheelchair Saturday night, then fled the scene. Troopers say the 64-year-old Fort Walton Beach man was trying to cross Eglin Parkway near Irwin Avenue just before 8 p.m. when he was struck by the Tahoe, then hit by another vehicle. The man was taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.
