KIDNAPPER ARRESTED

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says an Escambia County girl, kidnapped by a man she had been messaging on Facebook, was rescued after sending a coded text message for help. The girl said 32-year-old Alaric Brown, a convicted sex offender from Milton, kidnapped and raped her. She was reported missing on May 26th after she had been talking and texting to someone known to as “Twist Brown” for several months. The woman who reported her missing said she and the girl agreed to use a code word if the girl was in trouble and she received a text message with the code word – “blueberry pie”. The girl and Brown were located on Interstate-10, and Brown was arrested. He remains in the Escambia County Jail.
