The Florida Highway Patrol says a 46-year-old Navarre man died after he was struck by a vehicle while trying to cross Highway 98 early yesterday morning. Troopers say Troy Walter of Navarre was attempting to cross at the intersection of Wynnehaven Beach Road just after midnight when he was hit by an eastbound S.U.V. driven by 20-year-old Jamaal Brewer of Pensacola, who was not injured. No charges have been filed.
