The State of Florida has says it has revoked nearly 300 concealed weapon permits were taken from people who got them after the state failed to do proper background checks. Florida did not check applications against a national database set up by federal authorities. 365 applications were reviewed after the problem was discovered and permits were revoked for 291 people.
