FORT WALTON BEACH DOG SHOT

Fort Walton Beach Police are seeking suspects after officers responded to the area of Ranger Street and Second Avenue on Thursday in reference to a dog being shot. Officers arrived at 5:05 p.m. and spoke to people who said a black SUV occupied by several people stopped in front of a home on Second Avenue. One of the occupants got out of and fired several shots toward the home with a handgun. A dog that was on the property was struck with one of the rounds and was taken to the Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Okaloosa-Walton County for treatment. No other injuries were reported and the investigation is continuing.
