A 25-year-old Ft. Walton Beach woman has pleaded guilty to manslaughter for her role in a fatal drug overdose of a Shalimar man.

On October 3, 2015, 36-year-old Chad Beezley of Shalimar was found dead from a heroin overdose inside his home. Investigators determined that Darian Caldwell supplied the drugs that killed him. Caldwell was eventually arrested in Texas and returned to Okaloosa County in April of 2018. She was charged with homicide resulting from distribution of a controlled substance and has been sentenced to three years in prison.
