The Florida Highway Patrol says a 76-year-old Milton man was killed after his pickup was rear-ended by a semi-truck in Santa Rosa County yesterday. Troopers say Jimmy Berger was driving a pickup east on Interstate 10 at mile-marker 22 when he had to suddenly reduce speed due to traffic congestion and was struck by the semi driven by 35-year-old Donald Chase, of Crestview who was not able to slow down in time. Berger died in the crash and Chase suffered minor injuries. Charges are pending.
