ACCESSORY TO HIT-AND-RUN DRIVE ARRESTED

Police have arrested a 20-year-old Pensacola man for helping the suspect in a fatal hit-and-run evade law enforcement. Tadrian Rushing is charged with being an accessory after the fact for assisting Markquise Wallace avoid capture. Wallace has been identified as the driver in a deadly hit-and-run which occurred June 6th at “M” and Cervantes streets that resulted in fatal injuries to an 8-month-old baby and a 28-year-old woman. The child’s mother was seriously injured. Rushing is accused of helping conceal one of the vehicles Wallace was driving. When Pensacola Police Officers attempted to arrest him he fled in his own car, then crashed at Davis Highway and Hart Drive, then ran, but was apprehended. Police also found a large amount of narcotics in Rushing’s possession. Wallace is still being sought.
