Storms moving through northwest Florida yesterday produced a small waterspout off Panama City Beach in the Gulf. The water spout stayed offshore and did not cause any problems. The National Weather Service in Tallahassee said several waterspouts were reported Monday morning and afternoon off the coast of the Panhandle and off Inlet Beach around the same time. Waterspouts can pose a danger to boaters who should be alert to dangerous weather conditions.
