PANAMA CITY ARTS DIRECTOR RESIGNS

After two years as director of the Panama City Center for the Arts Kim Griffin White has resigned. She replaced former director Vicki Dwyer Middlemas who was indicted in February in federal court on 20 counts of wire fraud related to fraudulent wire transfers from the Center’s bank account for personal use, along with four counts of falsifying income tax returns so the Center would continue to receive the annual city stipend of $90,000 for years after the Center had lost its nonprofit status.  White cited exhaustion as her reason for leaving. An interim director has not yet to be named.
