A 7-year-old boy was taken to a local hospital by ambulance following a near drowning at a hotel on Pensacola Boulevard yesterday. Escambia County Emergency Services responded to the Studio 6 hotel at 6950 Pensacola Boulevard just before 6:30 p.m. yesterday. The boy was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital by ambulance, but was not transported as a trauma alert.
