An upcoming Congressional Field Hearing scheduled for July 30th in Milton will be hosted by Congressman Matt Gaetz. The hearing, called “Preserving the Mission: NAS Whiting Field”, will highlight the mission of Whiting Field and why the base is vital to the national defense architecture. There will also be presentations by panel members, including the Florida Defense Support Task Force, the Haas Center, Commissioner Don Salter, and retired Navy Captain Keith Hoskin the former Commanding Office of NAS Pensacola. The hearing will begin at 2 p.m. on Monday the 30th at the Santa Rosa County Commission Board Room at 6495 Caroline Street and the public is invited to take part in the event.
