MISSING BOATERS SEARCH SUSPENDED

The U.S. Coast Guard has suspended its search for three Pensacola fishermen who went missing last week in the Gulf. Family members reported 80-year-old David Washington, and his sons David Jr. and Darryl, both in their 60s, missing since Wednesday night when they failed to return from their fishing trip and their vehicle was still at the Navy Point Boat Launch. He said the men’s 17-foot Cape Horn boat was recovered late last week, but authorities did not find anything to help them understand what happened to the vessel. The family said a memorial will be held for the three on Saturday, August the 4th.
