The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall for 8-ounce and 20-ounce blending containers made by Vitamix. Their Ascent and Venturist Series containers can separate from the blade’s base, which exposes the blades and poses a threat of getting a cut or laceration. Vitamix says they have received 11 reports of consumers who were injured. If you have one of these blending containers, you should to call Vitamix for information on getting a free repair kit.
