AMENDMENT 13 SUPREME COURT HEARING

The Florida Supreme Court heard arguments this week in a legal fight about whether a proposed constitutional amendment aimed at ending greyhound racing at pari-mutuel facilities, should remain on the ballot. The hearing came after Leon County Circuit Judge Karen Gievers ruled that the Amendment 13 should not go on the ballot because the language was misleading. The state has appealed the ruling. It was not clear when the justices will rule in the case.
