Valparaiso Parkway, the road that runs near Valparaiso City Hall, will soon have a new name. In a ceremony in front of City Hall at 10am today the road will be renamed the John B. Arnold Jr. Memorial Highway to honor the memory of the late, long-time Mayor of Valparaiso. Arnold served as mayor for 53 years, the longest-serving mayor in Florida, and died in 2017 at the age of 87.
