Tropical Storm Gordon went ashore late last night close to the Alabama-Mississippi border bringing torrential rain, high winds and coastal flooding to the central Gulf Coast. At least one tornado was reported in Northwest Santa Rosa County, and Gulf Power said an estimated 15,000 customers from Pensacola to Panama City were without power. Damage is still being assessed but the storm is expected to bring flooding to areas of Mississippi and Arkansas as it continues to move inland.
