Gulf Islands National Seashore has reopened Highway 399, also known as J. Earle Bowden Way which runs between Pensacola and Navarre Beach. However, the parking lot along the road closest to Navarre Beach and the Opal Beach complex will remain closed until over-washed sand can be removed. The Fort Pickens area and the campground will also remain closed until officials have completed the cleanup operations, but the Perdido Key Area will reopen today at its regular business hours.
