An Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputy has been fired after an internal investigation found he exchanged inappropriate text messages and pictures with a woman he met on the job. Deputy Sheriff Douglas Schwall was placed on paid administrative leave and then fired after an internal investigation showed he had an inappropriate relationship with the mother of a burglary suspect. He met the woman in August of 2017 after interviewing the suspect. The investigation revealed Schwall sent pictures of himself from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office bathroom on a departmental cell phone.
