FLORIDA UNIVERSITY RANKINGS

A new list, released on Monday by U.S. News & World Report, shows that universities in Florida have moved up in the rankings. The Best Colleges list shows the University of Florida is ranked No. 8 in the country for best public university up one spot from last year. Florida State University is the next highest-ranking Florida university at number 26, moving up seven spots from last year. The University of South Florida is ranked 58^th, up ten spots; the University of Central Florida jumped three ranks to number 87; while Florida International University climbed 22 spots from last year to number 100. The University of Central Florida, Florida Institute of Technology, University of West Florida, Florida Atlantic University and Florida A&M did not make the list.
