A pace man who killed two young girls while fleeing from a Santa Rosa deputy last May, was sentenced to life in prison yesterday. 35-year-old Kailen Kelly, was charged with two counts of DUI manslaughter for the head-on crash on May 6th on Woodbine Road that took the lives of 7-year-old Stormie Harrell, and 17-year-old Sidney Dowdy, Kelly pleaded no contest to the charges. Florida Highway Patrol investigators estimated Kelly’s speed at 88 mph when he crashed. Four hours after the collision his blood-alcohol level was still almost .13, well over the legal limit of .08 percent. Testing also revealed marijuana in his system. Kelly was sentenced by Circuit Judge David Rimmer.
