The United Way of Santa Rosa County has placed Executive Director Guy Thompson and two other employees on paid administrative leave after accounting irregularities were discovered. The Board of Directors has retained an independent auditor to review financial records as well as policies and procedures. No details were provided about the irregularities or the time period. The Santa Rosa County branch of the United Way is operated separately from other area United Way agencies, including the United Way of Okaloosa and Walton Counties.
