CAB DRIVER DECLARED INCOMPETENT

A former cab driver, charged with shooting and killing an Uber driver in June, has been declared incompetent to stand trial. Bill Bishop, the chief assistant state attorney in Okaloosa County, said Circuit Court Judge William Stone has ordered 35-year-old Timothy Anderson sent to the Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee for competency training and evaluation. It is anticipated that Anderson will at some point will be declared competent and placed on trial for the killing of 29-year-old Filip Kirilov back on June 24th. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office said Kirilov’s body was found behind the wheel of his still running van at the intersection of Nautilus Court and Porpoise Street on Okaloosa Island. He had been shot three times.
