GENERAL CHAPPIE JAMES MUSEUM

The Daniel “Chappie” James Museum, commemorating the life of the first African-American to earn the rank of four-star general in the U.S. Air Force. The grand opening of the museum – which was General James’ childhood home on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive – is scheduled for February. They’re now looking for volunteers to staff, market, and serve as tour guides. Those interested should stop by the museum at 1608 Doctor Martin Luther King Jr. Drive to obtain more information.
