The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office says one person died and another was transported to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center after a small plane crashed on Forest Road near Niceville Saturday afternoon. The plane went between Jason Drive and Golf Course Drive just before 1 p.m.

Two people were removed from the aircraft and taken to a hospital where one died shortly before 4 p.m. Names of the victims have not been released.
