The Alabama Department of Corrections says Holman Prison in Atmore is on lockdown today after a fatal stabbing Sunday night. Prison officials found 29-year-old Vaquerro Armstrong  in a housing area with multiple stab wounds. Several hours later another fight broke out among several inmates, one of whom suffered multiple stabs wounds and was airlifted to an area hospital in critical condition. The inmate’s name has not been released and the prison remains on lock down while the Department of Corrections conducts its investigation.
