The State Attorney’s Office says a deadly shooting in Milton last August has been ruled as self-defense. It happened on August 25th when Bruce Pernicka shot and killed his son, Jeffery, after he attacked him with a board. Bruce Pernicka told Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s deputies he was in fear for his life and fired his gun to protect himself. The State Attorney’s Office said Jeffery Pernicka has a history of erratic behavior and may have been under the influence of narcotics. Bruce Pernicka will not face charges.
