Last week the roof over the portico over the driveway at the front entrance of the Hadji Shrine Temple on Nine Mile Road suddenly collapsed. A woman was injured and taken to Sacred Heart Hospital as a trauma alert, but did not suffer life-threatening injuries. Escambia County Fire Rescue and EMS resonded Saturday to a call after part of the shrine’s ceiling collapsed due to a water leak on Saturday, December 1st. Now Officials say the building has been deemed safe and the shrine is in the process of making repairs.
