SANTA ROSA PRISON CORRECTION OFFICERS ARRESTED

The Florida Department of Corrections says two more female correctional officers have been arrested for trying to smuggle contraband into the men’s prison in Santa Rosa County. Correctional Officer Trainee Arielle Oberdier was arrested after investigators seized a cellphone from an inmate dorm that revealed text messages between her and an inmate. Correctional Officer Lianne Portillo was also arrested after a controlled substance was found in her car. Four current or former correctional officers and one inmate’s mother were arrested charged with sending unlawful communications to inmates and smuggling tobacco, drugs and other contraband in exchange for money.
