The Florida Department of Law Enforcement says a Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office deputy has been cleared of wrongdoing after he shot a naked man who aimed a crossbow at him. It happened back on October 20th when deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a home on Highway 4 in Jay where a man told deputies his son -26-year-old Glen Phillips – was under the influence of narcotics and had threatened to shoot him. Deputies entered the home and found Phillips naked and armed with a crossbow, which he aimed at the deputies. Deputy Kevin Dalgleish shot and wounded Phillips, who survived. The FDLE said the shooting was justified and cleared the deputy of any wrongdoing.
