FORMER HOSPITAL EXEC TO BE SENTENCED

The former chief executive officer of Calhoun-Liberty Hospital in Blountstown is scheduled to be sentenced in January on a total of 28 federal fraud charges. 42-year-old Phillip Hill pleaded guilty to using his position as CEO to create a shell company – which he called “Southeastern Medical Supply” – to embezzle money from the  Blountstown hospital through fraudulent or over-inflated purchases. Hill could face up to 20 years in prison and is set to be sentenced on January 15th.
