The Florida Highway Patrol unidentified skeletal remains have been found in a crashed 2005 Mercedes-Benz in Union County. A similar vehicle was reported stolen in August of 2017. Troopers were initially investigating a traffic crash that happened Tuesday night at the intersection of County Road 796A and State Road 238 when the discovered the wrecked car with skeletal remains of the driver inside. The wreckage was in a wooded area that was not visible from the road which is in a rural area and has only light traffic. Foul play was not suspected and the investigation is continuing.
