Two Pensacola police officers were injured last night after their cruiser was hit by another vehicle. Departmental spokesman, Officer Mike Wood, said it happened at 9th Avenue and Underwood Drive about 11:15pm as the officers were assisting the Florida Highway Patrol with a previous traffic crash. Their cruiser was struck broadside and the two officers were taken to Sacred Heart Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Further details about the accident have not yet been released.
