The Florida Division of Elections says about 13 million Floridians are registered to vote in the August 28th primary elections. ESCAMBIA COUNTY SCHOOL SAFETY

The Triple-A Auto Club says gas prices in Florida rose 6 cents last week, then declined a penny over the weekend. VITAMIX RECALL

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall for 8-ounce and 20-ounce blending containers made by Vitamix. Their Ascent and Venturist Series containers can separate from the blade’s base, which exposes the blades and poses a threat of getting a cut or laceration. The Internal Revenue Service says 458 billion dollars is owed in back taxes from delinquent taxpayers and they are now enlisting other government agencies to help. VALPARAISO SEWAGE SPILL

A sewage spill at Hidden Cove Town Homes near the Tom’s Bayou area and the bridge in Valparaiso has caused the Florida Department of Health in Okaloosa County to issue a health advisory.
