HIT-AND-RUN DRIVER SOUGHT

The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking a 29-year-old Ponce de Leon man accused of causing a hit-and-run in Northwest Florida that happened in Holmes County back on March 17th. COAST GUARD ASSISTANCE

The Coast Guard assisted a 62-year-old man with a leg injury yesterday in Destin Harbor. A 24-foot Special Purpose Craft was sent to the man’s boat, and he was taken to Station Destin, then taken by emergency services to Ft. Walton Beach Medical Center. He was said to be in good condition.MORE

The Pensacola News Journal is reporting the budget agreement between the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and Escambia County Commissioners appears to have fallen apart. An Ohio businessman convicted of defrauding Newpoint charter schools out of hundreds of thousands of dollars in public funds will be sentenced Friday.
