A sentencing date has now been set for a decorated soldier who confessed to his part in trying to bring more than a million dollars’ worth of cocaine from Colombia to the United States through Eglin Air Force Base. The Drug Enforcement Administration received a tip that Army Master Sergeant Daniel Gould was attempting to smuggle almost 90 pounds of cocaine into the United States on a military transport flight from Colombia to Duke Field in Northwest Florida. Gould and two other co-defendants were indicted and in December, Gould entered a guilty plea on two counts.
