Former Gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum will appear in front of the Florida Commission on Ethics later this month to respond to claims that he accepted gifts from an undercover FBI agent while he was mayor of Tallahassee. The hearing on January 25th comes less than a month after a Tallahassee city commissioner was indicted on federal bribery charges. The complaint focuses on two trips Gillum took with an undercover FBI agent who paid for a baseball game, boat rides and tickets to the Broadway play, “Hamilton.” Gillum’s attorney said that many of the facts in the complaint are not true, and that his client has not committed any ethics violations.
