CHARGES IN FATAL DUI CRASH UPGRADED

Charges against a 24-year-old driver involved in a fatal DUI traffic crash in Escambia County over the weekend may soon be upgraded. Hunter Black was initially charged on Saturday with two counts of DUI manslaughter for a collision that killed 22-year-old Antoinette McCoy and 15-year-old Sean Banks. State Attorney Bill Eddins said his office filed a motion to have the charges upgraded to two counts of vehicular homicide. Although Black was released after posting a $2,500 bond the State Attorney’s Office said he should have been held without bond for the manslaughter charges. Eddins said there will be no chance of a bond until Black’s next hearing.
