WASHINGTON HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER ARREST FOLLOWUP

Pensacola Police say the 30-year-old Washington High School English teacher, arrested for soliciting a student for a sexual video, could face more charges. Mark Lua has been employed with the Escambia County School District since 2013. Pensacola Police Office Mike Wood said Lua has been charged with cruelty toward a child by promoting a sexual performance, as well as use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony, but police aren’t ruling out additional charges.  Superintendent Malcolm Thomas said Lua has been suspended   until the investigation is complete and will be terminated if the allegations are proven.
