ATTEMPTED KIDNAPPING

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted kidnapping of a 14-year old girl Saturday. The victim said a white male about 30-40 years old with green eyes and gray hair, got out of a white van in the 1800 block of Atwood Drive off Davis Highway just north of I-10 and attempted to grab her while she was walking, but she was able to break free. The victim said she had seen the van in the same area two days before the incident but did not report it. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department or call  Crime Stoppers at 433-STOP.
