GOVERNOR NAMES FINAL JUSTICE TO COURT

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has selected the person to fill the third and final vacancy on the Florida Supreme Court. He named 49-year-old Carlos Muniz, general counsel at the U.S. Department of Education, as his selection to the state’s highest court. Muniz served as chief of staff to former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi and deputy general counsel to former Governor Jeb Bush, and his appointment solidifies a conservative majority on the court.
