A second soldier charged in an alleged cocaine smuggling scheme will plead guilty in U.S. District Court. Sergeant 1st Class Henry W. Royer, a former member of the 19th Special Forces Group, will enter a guilty plea in front of senior Judge Roger Vinson on February 6th. Royer is charged – along with former 7th Group master sergeant Daniel Gould, and Colombian national Gustavo Pareja – with two counts of conspiracy to possess and distribute cocaine. Two punching bags containing nearly 90 pounds of cocaine were intercepted at the U.S. Embassy in Bogota, Columbia. It was headed for Eglin Air Force Base’s Duke Field.
