ST ENGINEERING FUNDING

The Pensacola City Council has approved 5 million dollars in additional funding for the expansion of ST Engineering’s aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul facility at the Pensacola International Airport. The vote was 4-3. Mayor Grover Robinson was seeking the money to make the case to Triumph Gulf Coast for an additional 12.5 million dollar grant for the project. Robinson will go before the Escambia County Commission on Thursday to ask that board for 5 million dollars for the project. ” The 210 million dollars project is expected to generate 1,325 new jobs at the airport.
