The Walton County Sheriff’s Office says a body was found at Morrison Springs yesterday afternoon. The Walton County Sheriff’s Dive Team located the body – identified as 51-year-old John Thomas of DeFuniak Springs – in the water. Authorities say a missing person report was filed Wednesday by Thomas’s wife after he did not return home. The Sheriff’s Office said foul play is not suspected and the death appears to be accidental. The next of kin has been notified, according to the sheriff’s office.
