EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE WILD FIRES

Eglin Air Force Base officials say fire crews have controlled one wildfire on a base range, and are working on a second wildfire. The first fire was the result of an Army 7th Special Forces Group training mission, the second blaze was likely the result of a training mission involving the use of live munitions. That fire burned 2.5 acres west of State Road 87 and north of Holley in Santa Rosa County. Smoke could affect Hurlburt Field and Highway 98
