Pensacola has been selected as a finalist for the Strongest Town contest, a month-long, competition designed to identify communities from around the world that are working to become financially strong and resilient. Representatives take part in question and answer sessions, appear on podcasts, and write essays to show why their town is the strongest. Pensacola is competing against Manhattan, Kansas, in hopes of advancing to the next round. Quint Studer, Anna White and Dottie DeHart are representing the city. Last year, Pensacola made it to the semi-final round before being eliminated by Kent, Ohio, which in turn was eliminated in the final round by Muskegon, Michigan. The eventual winner.
